Watermelon Carving at Chihiro in Fukui すいかほり ちひろ

During Obon holiday, we went to Fukui where my wife's friends from uni run a guest house.　Our daughter looks forward to visiting there and meeting friends.
Every year kids enjoy "Watermelon Carving".  Kids carve a watermelon with spoons and eat it.
This year's watermelon was really sweet and delicious.
Guinness stays at grandma's place while we were in Fukui. I wonder if he is being a good boy....

夏休みに福井に行きました。友人が民宿をしていて娘は毎年楽しみにしています。
子供たちは毎年「スイカほり」をします。スイカをスプーンで彫って顔をつくり、彫りながらみんなで食べます。今年のスイカはとても甘くておいしかった。
ちなみにギネスはばあちゃんちでおるすばんです。いいこにしてるでしょうか。

Guinness went to the river in Gifu and enjoyed swimming.
He swam very well!!
