Puppy class しつけ教室

We took Guinness to a puppy class today.
We knew he is a bit wild, but never realized that other puppies are so calm and smart!
There were eight puppies in the class, all small dogs of 4-5 months old just like Guinness. I could not believe to see them sitting next to their owners calmly.
Guinness did not stop barking for a while and everyone was staring at us.

Although he gradually calmed down, he was never able to interact with other puppies.
The trainer said terriers are usually like that especially males. I guess he needs more time to get used to other dogs and meeting with people.

今日はパピークラスに行きました。ギネスが落ち着きがないのはわかっていましたが、まさか普通の子犬があんなにおとなしくておりこうさんとは！！ギネスと同じような４-５ヶ月齢の８頭の子犬がいましたが、彼らが飼い主の隣に静かに座っているのが信じられませんでした。ギネスはしばらく吠え続け、すっかり注目を集めてしまいました。

だんだんと落ち着いては来たものの、他のわんちゃんとは結局あまり交流できませんでした。トレーナーの人はテリア系の特にオスは大体こんな感じだと言ってました。彼はもう少し他の犬や人に会うのに慣れないといけないのでしょうね。

We found Guinness's grandma! ギネスのおばあさん発見!

We were browsing the internet last night and accidentally found Guinness's grandma!
She really looks like Guinness and that was how we spotted her. There is this Border Terrier site and there are photos of Border Terriers and their names, birth date.
Her name matches the name of Guinness's grandmother on the pedigree certificate and the photo was linked to Guinness's breeder.
Border Terriers are not common in Japan, so this could happen. We were quite surprised, though.

昨夜インターネットを見ていたら、偶然ギネスのおばあさんを見つけてしまいました。ギネスにそっくりなので気づきました。ボーダーテリアのサイトがあり、そこに写真や誕生日などがのっていて、ギネスの血統証を調べたら、名前が一致しました。写真がギネスのブリーダーにリンクされていました。珍しい犬種なので、こういうこともあるのでしょうか？びっくりしました。

Since it's rainy today, poor Guinness could not go for a walk.
We gave him a bath. He was relaxing after that.

今日は雨だったので、お散歩に行けませんでした。
ギネスをお風呂に入れました。ふろ上がりにくつろいでいます。

Rainy season starts 梅雨入りか

It is rainy today. We had some guests and Guinness was so excited. He seems to like people a lot.

今日は雨。昨日から家にお客さんがきていて、ギネスは大はしゃぎでした。人懐っこいというのかなんなのか、新しい人が来ると大喜びでずっとまとわりつき、私たちにはあまりよってきません。帰ったあと、なんとなくおとなしいギネスです。

それから昨日は初めて散歩でウンチをしました。

お散歩デビュー

5月中旬に2回目のワクチンが終わり、先週からお散歩デビューです。毎朝5時過ぎに起きて散歩に行きます。

今日は浜の公園にギネスを連れて家族で一緒に行きました。でも犬と子供に吠えるので大変です。

また、今日はこの公園によく来るアヒル（飼われているものです）やフェレットのようなのが来てたので、もしギネスが見つけるとと思うと近づけませんでした。

ボーダーテリアは小動物を見つけると猛然と突進します。ちなみに小さい子供が走っても同じです。

DNAってすごいですね。何百年も前に猟犬として働いていたのがいまだに出てくるんですね。

しかし、いつかは落ち着くんでしょうか？公園でのんびり昼寝をするのが目標です。
